hOW MUCH WILL THIS TATTOO COST?

There are so many variables involved in pricing a tattoo, that we cannot give any pricing information until we've actually sat down with you and taken you through a complete assessment of your tattoo request. This assessment is all part of our consultation phase and, while our rates are reasonable by industry standards, we are by no means a cheap shop. We don't promise you the lowest price. We promise the highest quality of product and client care we can possibly deliver.

dO YOU SPECIALIZE IN SINGLE NEEDLE?

We specialize in single needle and all other fine-line types of tattooing. However, our overall shop specialization is black and grey/monochrome tattooing, and its traditional sub-disciplines.

CAN I BE AN APPRENTICE?

This is a common question, and if you've asked via email, you're doing it wrong.  The only way a reputable shop with traditional ethics SHOULD ever consider a candidate for apprenticeship is this:  You start by getting tattooed at the shop.  That's right.  Spend money, let them see your character under discomfort and stress, gradually build a relationship, then eventually start proving your artistic merits. And even then, be prepared for denial.  We've gone through years of difficulty to develop the skills we have, and we would never consider transferring the decades of hard-earned knowledge to somebody who doesn't even have the motivation or balls to actually come in to the shop and prove their worth face to face.

i'D LIKE MY TATTOO IN WHITE INK. IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Possibly, Yes. Probably, no. It's completely situational. Due to the unpredictable photo-reactivity of white ink, it will be completely up to the artist, who will have to take factors such as design, skin pigmentation, and body location into consideration. In our experience, less than 20% of designs requested in white will be deemed suitable or safe for execution. We will however, be happy to suggest other ways to achieve the same feel that you want without resorting to white ink.

wHAT IF I NEED A TOUCH-UP?

We will provide touch-ups for free up to one year after the last tattoo is completed, provided that we do not see signs that healing instructions were contradicted. Touch-ups will also not be covered in situations arising from extreme stupidity or madness. Please note, not all tattoos qualify for free touch-ups, such as tattoos on fingers, sides of feet, and other high traffic parts of the body.

how do i take care of my tattoo?

Please refer to our tattoo aftercare page. You will also receive a printed copy of these instructions after your tattoo session. Every step has a reason and purpose for being there. Please follow them and don't listen to your tattoo "expert" friends.

do you do piercings?

No, tattoos only.

tHIS IS MY FIRST TATTOO. wHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT?

Once you have an idea in mind, you can contact us by phone or email to set up a consultation. Consultations are free and are a quick conversation with an artist where we can go over the details of the project you have in mind; that way we can ensure that you get the tattoo that you have envisioned. Pricing and availability can also be determined once we have had a consultation with you.

can i see the design for my tattoo before my appointment?

In a perfect world we would happily accommodate this request, but showing drawings to all of our clients weeks to even days before just isn't realistic. All drawings are shown the day of the appointment.  We ensure to allot enough time in each appointment to go over any questions or changes. Whether minor or major, we don't start tattooing until you're 100% happy with the design.

cAN I BRING A FRIEND?

Only tattoo clients are allowed past our reception desk. This is for health and safety reasons. Please respect this request.

What if i need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

We get it. Life happens. We do our best to accommodate scheduling changes provided you haven't rescheduled more than three times, and have given 72 hours notice. Failure to do so forfeits your deposit. Please keep in mind that deposits are non-refundable. By putting down a deposit, our artist has committed their time to you. If you choose to cancel, your deposit will be forfeited.

How old do you have to be to get tattooed? can i have my parent/ guardian sign for me?

Our shop requires all of our clients to be 18 years old or older. If you don't meet the age requirement but have questions regarding tattoos, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email. Though we can't tattoo you, we are more than happy to help educate, inform, and answer all of your tattoo questions.

DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?

We take walk-ins every Tuesday - Sunday on a first come, first served basis.

Is the shop wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, our shop is not wheelchair accessible. We are located on the second floor with a set of stairs consisting of 16 steps. As an alternative, we are partnered with a local shop with wheelchair accessibility and would be more than happy to coordinate appointments there to better accommodate our clients.

do you do temporary tattoos?

You can find temporary tattoos in a gum-ball dispenser at your nearest grocery store.

Do you use vegan ink?

Yes. Though we use a variety of ink, our shop is vegan friendly and we're more than happy to accommodate this request.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Absolutely. Gift certificates are available at the shop. Ask the front desk and we'll gladly issue you one for any amount you choose. Please note: gift certificates are non-transferable and are valid for up to one year from the original purchase date.

can i bring my kids into the shop?

We do not allow children in the shop. Please respect this policy.
